Welcome to my (new) world.
Welcome to my (new) world.

Hi.  I'm Mark.  Who am I?  I'm an advertising copywriter, a verbose columnist, a multi-award-winning multimedia producer, a social media handyman, an aspiring photographer, an ever-curious web tinkerer, a rabid technology enthusiast, and shameless pop culture junkie.  I grew up in Appleton, Wisconsin and now make my home in Green Bay, Wisconsin.

While I make my living in radio, my passion is experimenting with and constantly learning about web publishing and social media.  I love pushing the boundries of content management systems like Drupal and WordPress to independently publish exciting and compelling content, and fostering new, highly-localized ways to foster online communities.

I'm an A/V geek by heart, so I'm constantly amazed at how the web has opened up a world of possibilities for audio and video distribution.  I love helping local businesses and organizations harness the increasingly-affordable tools for multimedia production to create attention-grabbing YouTube videos and podcasts.

In my precious spare time, I love watching TV and movies, collecting music, cooking and eating out, shooting photos and video, walking local trails and parks, and spending time with my beautiful wife, Jess.

Green Bay photographers... where are the good places in the GB area to walk and take good nature photos? My new lens is begging for use. (2:27 pm)
Anyone know why suddenly I can set a "username" URL for a FB page I just created with 0 fans, but old ones without 25 followers still can't? (12:11 pm)
Looking forward to deleting my Tumblr account this weekend. Moved all my stuff to Posterous and not looking back. (9:07 am)

A co-worker just called telling me to expect alligator jerky to arrive soon via interoffice mail. Radio -- no two days are ever the same. (1:24 pm)
